Fairchild Entertainment was incorporated in 1980 for the express purpose of designing, producing, building, and touring traveling Magic & Illusion Road shows. 28 tours in 23 years, most of their tours were 9 months or more in duration. However, over the years they also produced Ice Shows, Revues, and Variety Shows.
This 20 plus years of "hands on" operation has given them a rare insight and a world of experience in all aspects of show production. At this juncture they are no longer producing road shows and are now content to be behind the scenes. They have kept the consulting, designing, and building portions of the business going strong and are now building sets for concerts, custom ATA road cases, special effects, and some of the best magical apparatus for other magicians world wide.
As time goes on and more Magicians become aware of their abilities, Fairchild Entertainment is becoming very busy as a custom prop builder. The founder, Joe Eddie Fairchild, hails from a show business family, he is the 5th. Generation. His knowledge of show business is quite impressive.
From his uncanny ability to design props that not only look good but will take years of use, to knowing how to break them down quickly and efficiently and how to pack them for a "fast out". He has owned, trained, and performed with a variety of exotic and domesticated animals which is so important when designing props for livestock. He is well versed in stage lighting and sound support along with special effects and pyrotechnics and has a drama and dance background.
Over the years he has proved his abilities as an executive, understanding the business end of show business including promotions, creating proposals and prospectuses, and contract negotiations. Now you can profit from the time tested experiences of Fairchild Entertainment. Many of the effects and routines are time tested and have been proven to be audience pleasing. As time continues, you can be assured that the products marketed will be well thought out and built with superior craftsmanship. To quote Phil Chandler Barr, a long time client,
